Obtaining Keys - Lockbox Opening Instructions
When you arrive, there will be a lockbox on the BACK side of the post that displays your apartment number.
IMPORTANT: If you are in unit # 1, it is located on the 2nd floor above the office. In this case, the lockbox will be behind the post in front of the office. You must enter through the office door and go up the stairs. The same key fits both the office door locks and your front door. Please ensure that both the deadbolt lock and the entry lock to the office door remain locked at all times.
NOTE: We usually leave the outside light on to help you see the lockbox if you arrive at night. In the unlikely event that the light is not on, you can generally use the light from a cell phone to view the dials. If you don't have a cell phone, there is a flashlight behind the office in a small plastic container on the floor of the patio. (Please return flashlight to container as soon as you are finished so that others have access.)
(a) In figure 1, push down the black shutter door to reveal the numeric dials as shown in figure 2.
(b) Rotate dials to the combination you supplied on your reservation form. Make sure that the digits align properly in a straight line.
(c) Push down on the small black button to the left of the dials, and while holding it down, slowly pull and open the entire front door of the lockbox. It should not require much force to pull it out, but occasionally it sticks, so you may have to use a little bit of "pull" to open it. Your keys are inside. See figure 3.
(d) Close lockbox door and scramble the wheels to no longer display your combination. Raise the shutter door back in place to cover the wheels. (Caution: do not use the reset button that is located inside the box or you will render the box unusable and you will incur a significant removal charge.)
(e) At the end of your visit, lock your door, put your keys back into the lockbox, scramble the wheels again, but leave the shutter door down -- this will tell us you have departed.
(f) Once you are in the unit, please notify us of your arrival by calling us (phone inside unit) at 933-5296. You can call and leave a message anytime. Calls are forwarded to our voice mail late at night, so simply leave a message. Please also state approximately what time you will be available the following morning so that we can stop by to meet you and collect your payment.
If you have problems or emergencies, or if you have difficulty getting into the unit, you can page us by following the instructions on my voice mail. But please remember that there is a $60 fee if we have to let you in. If you have any questions between now and your arrival, don’t hesitate to ask.
